New Government Regulations on the Storage and Transportation of Gametes and Embryos
According to a new decision by the Government of Armenia, clear rules have been established for storing and transporting gametes and embryos, ensuring the safety and control of biological materials
  • Transportation is carried out in hermetically sealed cryogenic containers, maintaining temperatures between -150°C and -196°C for up to 72 hours.

  • For transfers between medical centers, a medical certificate and written consent from the biological parents are required.

  • In other cases, accompanying documentation is necessary, specifying the quality of the biological material, storage conditions, and transport details.

  • Patients can request their biological material by submitting a written application.
These changes ensure a regulated and safe process for transporting gametes and embryos
