New Government Regulations on the Storage and Transportation of Gametes and Embryos
According to a new decision by the Government of Armenia, clear rules have been established for storing and transporting gametes and embryos, ensuring the safety and control of biological materials
Transportation is carried out in hermetically sealed cryogenic containers, maintaining temperatures between -150°C and -196°C for up to 72 hours.
For transfers between medical centers, a medical certificate and written consent from the biological parents are required.
In other cases, accompanying documentation is necessary, specifying the quality of the biological material, storage conditions, and transport details.
Patients can request their biological material by submitting a written application.
These changes ensure a regulated and safe process for transporting gametes and embryos
